Our good friends at West Cork Distillers have recently released the Glengarriff series of whiskeys.
The Glengarriff "Bog Oak Cask" whiskeys have been matured in ex-Sherry Butts and then finished in heavily charred virgin white oak casks. The charring for this process was fueled by bog oak from Glengarriff.
The Glengarriff "Peat Charred Cask" whiskeys have also been matured in ex-Sherry Butts before being finished in heavily charred virgin white oak casks. This version is heavily charred and is fueled by Glengarriff peat.
Experimental whiskeys, such as these, are why West Cork are gaining a reputation for innovation. We are delighted that John O' Connell, of West Cork Distillery, will be joining us once again to showcase these, and other expressions, from their ever-increasing range of locally crafted whiskeys.
