Green Spot 1991 26 YO @ The Shelbourne (Whiskey Pub Series)
We are proud to introduce our Whiskey Pub Series. These whiskey tastings will be less formal and will give us the opportunity to sample, in traditional Irish whiskey pubs, seriously luxurious drops of Irish whiskey.
We have acquired two bottles of this unique whiskey, selected by and exclusive to The Whisky Exchange, London: a single cask of 26-year-old Green Spot Pot Still Whiskey, distilled at Midleton and filled into cask, for the first time, on 18th October 1991.
Initially matured in bourbon and sherry casks, the spirit was re-racked into a single Marsala butt for further maturation. The result brings together the fresh fruit flavours of bourbon-cask maturation and the richer dried fruit notes from sherry cask aging, to create a perfect olfactory sensation.
