Anticipation throughout the country is building towards the launch of the first whisky to emanate from Waterford distillery. Saturday April 25th marks Waterford Whisky’s coming of age, the debut of their first Irish Single Malt Whisky.
Waterford distillery are delighted to open their gates to those curious to see what they’ve been up to these last five years. To provide a festival atmosphere, irrespective of the weather, the distillers at Waterford have invited local food suppliers, brewers and musicians – Waterford Whisky will also be available to taste for the first time.
To mark this historic moment, the launch of Waterford Whisky, a limited edition commemorative bottling has been created by their Head Distiller.
Ned has brought together each of the 35 farms distilled in their first year, each and every location captured in spirit, a unique Waterford distillate. Together, they make a complex and multi-layered single malt – a pioneering concept for the whisky industry.
Cork Whiskey Society will be there. As a valued member, this is your opportunity to witness the very beginning of what will surely be a superb Irish whiskey brand.
