Our 2020 Christmas extravaganza will be held in (drum roll please) … your gaff! Ahem, due to a certain virus which will not be named, we must dutifully carry on with our successful online ZOOM events for the foreseeable future. We expect your gaff will look nice and festive and we promise, as ever, to provide a superb selection of Irish whiskey to advance the cause.
Woodford Bourne - Wine Merchants of Cork
With business roots that originated in 1750 Cork, it was a real pity when Woodford Bourne ceased trading on Patrick Street in the 1980's. Famous for the quality of their wares, their bonded warehouse was situated on Sheares Street. We will taste their vintage Brown Label 10 YO which would have been distilled in Bow Street distillery and matured in their Cork city warehouse.
Mitchell's - Wine Merchants of Dublin
The Spot Irish whiskey lineup is complete once again: Blue Spot is back! We are super excited therefore, to showcase the full array of Mitchell's Spot whiskeys. You can compare every Spot whiskey that has been released in the last few years as well as a vintage 1960's Green Spot that would have been distilled in John Jameson's Bow Street distillery and matured in the Mitchells’ cellars at Fitzwilliam Lane, Dublin.
Ger Garland, of Irish Distillers, and our own Eric Ryan, of same distillery, will host this event and will be ably assisted by representatives of the wine houses: Robert Mitchell (Mitchell's) and Edward Nicholson (Woodford Bourne). The whiskey selection will be:

Demand for this event will be extremely high. We have 176 members and only 105 seats, so unfortunately some people will inevitably be disappointed.
We have maximised the whiskey available to us, not a drop has been spilled so that we can facilitate as many members as possible. It is strictly a Members-only event. Members have the following options;

Your Christmas box will include 8 whiskeys:
- 15ml of each of the 2 x Vintage Whiskeys
- 20 ml of each of the 6 x Current Range of Mitchell & Son Spot Whiskeys

Option 2 - The Mitchell & Son Spot Set - €50 + paypal fee (Limited Availability)
Your Christmas box will include 6 whiskeys:
- 20 ml of each of the 6 x Current Range of Mitchell & Son Spot Whiskeys.

Booking will open tomorrow Thursday the 12th November at 8pm, tasting boxes are available on a first come first served basis. Please note that the system automatically cancels your registration if payment is not completed within 15 minutes, therefore you are not guaranteed a box until you get your confirmation email.
Christmas Box - Collection Only!!

We cannot offer delivery of any kind. If you cannot attend the collection point, please nominate somebody to collect on your behalf. Each Box will need to be signed for on collection.
